One can also learn from the things shown in the drama, and shape themselves into a better person. I enjoyed the thrill, comedy and many different types of feelings felt throughout the drama, and the storyline was rather engaging and exciting. Overall, Who Are You: School 2015 is a drama that is very worth watching although certain aspects could have been done better. With this song, it gave life to every scene it was in. Tiger JK’s “Reset” featuring Jin Shil from Mad Child stood out as it was played in the make it or break it moments of the drama. It pulled together the impressive talents of Tiger JK, Baechigi, Yoon Mi Rae, Byul, Younha and many other artists to make it one of the best soundtracks that I have heard in a long time. If there was one incentive to watch this drama it would be for the soundtrack. They’d both felt alone, in different ways, and now they have each other. Whether giving So Young a (pretty darn satisfying) smackdown for what So Young had done to Eun Bi, or rushing to Eun Bi’s side when she perceived Eun Bi was danger, like she did in episode 15, Eun Byul’s unni instinct is dialed up to strong-and-unapologetic, and was pretty great to watch.Įssentially, it feels like Eun Byul and Eun Bi complete each other, in the most endearing way possible. I loved, too, Eun Byul’s fierce protective instinct towards Eun Bi. I also found it extra sweet that Eun Bi would be able to instinctively address Eun Byul as unnie. It’s so cool that they would instinctively reach for each other, even though they really barely knew each other. In episode 13, we finally get to see Eun Bi and Eun Byul together, and I love that the twins are just so happy to be together. I really loved watching Gong Tae Kwang and Lee Eun Bi’s scenes, because they were either entertaining, funny or heartwarming. Their friendship can be seen as something very valuable to either of the two, and it is obvious how Gong Tae Kwang tries hard to make Eun Bi smile all the time. He was always there to support her in whatever she does and encourage her. Seemingly watching over her all the time, Gong Tae Kwang can be seen as a really caring and protective (who wishes to be more than a friend,) friend towards Lee Eun Bi. It made me feel a little sad for Go Eun Byul, who might have been in love with Han Yi Ahn.Īs if he was her shadow, Gong Tae Kwang would always appear whenever Lee Eun Bi was upset or in trouble. It was a little disappointing how fickle his love for Go Eun Byul was, although it was understandable.
However, I honestly wished that there would be a twist whereby Lee Eun Bi chooses Gong Tae Kwang, and Han Yi Ahn not letting go of his 10 years unrequited love for Go Eun Byul. It was clear from the start who she would choose – Han Yi Ahn.
She’s quite popular at school with many close friends including long-time childhood bestfriend and competitive swimmer Han Yi An (Nam Joo Hyuk).Īnd even though the boys were constantly at each other while jostling for Eun Bi’s attention, I thought it very sweet and very telling, that they would readily join forces and work together, when it came to protecting Eun Bi.
Eun Byul is the polar opposite of Eun Bi in personality - confident and sassy. Eun Bi’s twin sister Go Eun Byul lives a complete separate life with her foster mom. She is considerate and compassionate, but too meek to stand up for herself while constantly getting bullied at school by her classmate Kang So Young. We begin by meeting Lee Eun Bi, who grew up at an orphanage. Who Are You: School 2015 quickly grabs my attention by delving into thrilling enigmas surrounding the twin sisters shortly after introducing its main cast. I’m thoroughly impressed with how the young actresses convincingly channel their character’s divergent personas, making them that much more unforgettable.įrom the very beginning, our story and our characters are effectively and efficiently set up, along with many intriguing questions that made me want to know more about the characters, their stories, and their world.Įven after just the first episode, I came away feeling a little hooked already, which is a very good thing indeed.
Not to mention the phenomenal acting performances from lead actress Kim So Hyun, who plays twin characters Lee Eun Bi and Go Eun Byul, and rookie actress Jo Soo Hyang, who plays main antagonist Kang So Young. Who Are You: School 2015 proves that it deserves its popularity with an exceptional blend of gripping mystery and adorable high school romance.
